On December 7th, the Abridged Citizens Guide Version of Game Changers: Going Local To Defeat Violent Extremists, is being released. In the following weeks I will be discussing key elements from the book in my blog videos.
The first concept takes us back to Vietnam and we take a lesson learned from Captain Vernon Gillespie and his willingness to “Meet People Where They Are” in the tribal central highlands with the Montagnards, the South Vietnamese Special Forces and his Green Beret A Team. Lessons forged in life and death that apply in our own everyday challenges in dealing with time, money, our co-workers, and even our families.
We face many complex issues in today’s complex world, geopolitical as well as interpersonal struggles are all around us. Meet people where they are… it’s a huge first step toward “changing the game”.
